Job Summary

The Field Operator is responsible for carrying out field operations, monitoring equipment, and supporting plant activities in line with approved procedures. The role involves data collection, maintenance support, safety compliance, and coordination with the Control Room Operator to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform observations and data collection on local control panels, electrical and mechanical equipment, and instruments within assigned systems
  • ⁠Assist operations in other units during heavy workload or absence of another field operator
  • ⁠Carry out local operations as instructed in line with approved procedures and HSE standards, including contractor-related activities
  • ⁠Perform preventive and primary maintenance of equipment and prepare facilities for corrective maintenance

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in any Engineering discipline
  • ⁠Minimum of three years’ experience in process plant operations, including at least two years in field operations
  • ⁠Knowledge of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, absorbers, and metering systems

Must have skills:

  • ⁠Cryogenic Awareness
  • ⁠DCS/SCADA Familiarity
  • ⁠Instrumentation Knowledge
  • ⁠Safety Protocols and Compliance
  • ⁠Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • ⁠First Aid and Firefighting
  • ⁠General Maintenance
  • ⁠Data Collection and Interpretation
