About the Role

We are looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media Assistant to support our digital marketing efforts. The ideal candidate should be passionate about social media, content creation, and online community engagement, with a strong eye for trends and detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
  • Design simple graphics and edit short-form videos for social media.
  • Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar.
  • Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly.
  • Assist with community management and audience engagement.
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and content ideas.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Track content performance and prepare basic weekly/monthly reports.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s voice and visual identity.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to social media and digital marketing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing or assisting with social media accounts.
  • Good understanding of major social media platforms and current trends.
  • Proficiency in Canva and basic video editing tools (CapCut, InShot, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must reside in or around Surulere or be able to commute conveniently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Meta Business Suite or social media scheduling tools.
  • Basic photography or videography skills.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting.
