We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build intuitive, scalable, and high-performance web applications that power the Barqly experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior frontend developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues efficiently.
• Improve frontend architecture, testing, and development workflows.
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Solid experience with React.js (experience with Next.js is an advantage).
• Experience using TypeScript in production applications.
• Good understanding of state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and web accessibility standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience building Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Experience working in startups or fast-paced product teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment workflows.
• Experience optimizing application performance and frontend security.
