  • We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, and management of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical equipment.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on medical devices.
  • Perform equipment calibration, testing, and safety checks.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
  • Liaise with equipment vendors for servicing, upgrades, and warranty claims.
  • Train healthcare staff on the proper use and handling of medical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies.
  • Participate in equipment procurement, evaluation, and commissioning.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Recommend replacement or upgrade of obsolete equipment when necessary.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng./B.Tech.) or HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years relevant experience in biomedical equipment maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Professional certification or relevant technical training is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of biomedical and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
