Job Purpose
As our Business Development & Partnerships Manager, your mission is simple: grow the
business.
What You Will Actually Do
Your responsibilities will include(but are not limited to):
● Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and expand the company’s market
presence.
● Identify and approach new customers including property developers, contractors,
architects, interior designers, plumbers, hotels, schools, hospitals, corporate
organisations and other institutions.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat
business and referrals.
● Generate and follow up on quotations until they result in sales or a clear outcome.
● Visit project sites and client offices to understand their requirements and position our
products as the preferred choice.
● Work closely with the team to ensure customer enquiries and project requirements
are handled efficiently.
● Develop partnerships that increase brand visibility and create new business
opportunities.
● Research market trends, customer needs and competitor activities, and recommend
strategies that keep the business competitive.
● Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospects and provide regular reports on business
development activities.
● Represent the company professionally at networking events, exhibitions and industry
gatherings when required.
● Collaborate with management on pricing strategies, promotional campaigns and
market expansion initiatives.

Technical Skills
● Business development and sales planning.
● Relationship management.
● Negotiation and presentation skills.
● Proposal and quotation preparation.
● Customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
● Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
● Market research and competitor analysis.
● Strong verbal and written communication.
● Basic reporting and sales analytics.
Experience
● 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales or account management.
● Experience working in retail, building materials, construction, home improvement or
related industries is an advantage(but not a limitation).
● Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow customer accounts.
● A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is
preferred but not mandatory where relevant experience is exceptional.
