Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled, creative, and guest-focused Mixologist to join our Food & Beverage team.
- The Mixologist will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality cocktails and beverages while maintaining the hotel’s standards for consistency, presentation, cleanliness, and guest service.
- The successful candidate should have a strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails and a genuine passion for creating exceptional beverage experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain consistency in cocktail taste, measurements, presentation, garnish, and glassware.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, wines, beers, mixers, and other beverage products.
- Prepare fresh garnishes, syrups, infusions, and other cocktail ingredients as required.
- Follow standard recipes and portion-control procedures to minimise wastage and maintain beverage costs.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar station before, during, and after service.
- Check bar stock and report low-stock items, breakages, wastage, and discrepancies to the Head Mixologist or Bar Manager.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests based on their preferences.
- Deliver warm, professional, and efficient service at all times.
- Promote signature cocktails, premium beverages, and other suitable menu items to guests.
- Handle guest requests and beverage-related complaints professionally.
- Ensure responsible and appropriate service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel policies.
- Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards within the bar area.
- Operate and care for bar equipment correctly and report any maintenance issues.
- Support the Head Mixologist in menu development, cocktail testing, and new beverage initiatives.
- Participate in regular cocktail, product, service, and upselling training.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, stock taking, and bar preparation.
- Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Mixologist, Bartender, or similar role in a reputable hotel, restaurant, lounge, or bar.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Good understanding of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers, bitters, and cocktail ingredients.
- Experience with cocktail preparation, presentation, and modern mixology techniques.
- Good knowledge of bar hygiene, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Hospitality or Mixology certification is an added advantage.
