Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Network Support Officer to join our dynamic IT team in Lagos. This critical role ensures the continuous availability, robust security, and optimal performance of our organization’s network infrastructure.

You will be responsible for providing essential technical support across LAN, WAN, wireless, and internet connectivity, proactively monitoring network health, and swiftly resolving any network-related issues. Your expertise will be vital in implementing stringent security standards and supporting the deployment and ongoing enhancement of our IT infrastructure to guarantee uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the helpdesk and provide first-level technical assistance to staff, adhering to predefined policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the network infrastructure of Rite Foods Limited.
  • Support a wide range of network administration duties, including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Routers, Switches, Servers, Access Points, Printers, and general network-enabled devices.
  • Ensure the setup and maintenance of employee telephone systems, Active Directory accounts, Exchange mailboxes, remote access security, network file storage, and other appropriate systems.
  • Ensure that backups of all server data are performed as stated in the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support the rebuilding of network components when necessary due to network crash or failure.
  • Support regular updates to network configurations.
  • Support Antivirus protection for all computers and servers on the network.
  • Make technology recommendations for hardware/software needed at both server and user levels.

Qualifications

  • First degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Professional Certifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a well-structured FMCG (bottling) company.
