Job Summary
A healthcare organization in Abuja is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to provide specialized assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services, particularly in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and pain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized physiotherapy and rehabilitation plans.
- Provide musculoskeletal physiotherapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Treat sports injuries using appropriate rehabilitation techniques.
- Perform manual therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises.
- Provide post-operative rehabilitation and chronic pain management.
- Support functional movement rehabilitation and patient recovery.
- Use electrotherapy equipment and modern physiotherapy technologies.
- Apply appropriate pain management and rehabilitation techniques.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, recovery, and injury prevention.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records using EMR and digital systems.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans where necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing licence and registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB).
- 4–7 years of post-qualification clinical experience in physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and manual therapy.
- Experience in post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and functional movement rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Certifications in Dry Needling, Shockwave Therapy, Manual Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Kinesiology Taping, or related specialties are an added advantage.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and rehabilitation planning skills.
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise prescription, and pain management.
- Proficiency in electrotherapy equipment and modern physiotherapy technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in EMR, clinical software, Microsoft Office, and digital documentation systems.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Must reside in Abuja or be willing to relocate.
