Job Summary
As a Software Engineer at TasklyAfrica, you will build and maintain web applications, APIs, and software products for U.S.-based technology companies. The role involves working within cross functional teams, participating in code reviews, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs
- Write clean, well tested, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Debug and resolve production issues efficiently
- Work with modern frameworks and tools including React, Node.js, and Python
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
- Experience with web frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, Django, or Laravel
- Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD workflows
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable high speed internet and a professional home workspace
Salary: $2,000 – $5,000 monthly
