Description of the IT Intern (NYSC) at Eat ‘N’ Go

  • Assist IT staff in installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, software, and peripherals.
  • ⁠Provide basic technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • ⁠Help maintain IT assets, including tracking hardware, software, and licenses.
  • ⁠Support the IT team in monitoring network performance and reporting connectivity or system issues.
  • ⁠Assist in documenting IT processes, incidents, and resolutions.
  • ⁠Help with IT procurement processes and ensure proper filing of related documents.
  • ⁠Support end-user training sessions on basic IT systems and applications.
  • ⁠Perform general administrative support duties for the IT department as assigned.
  • ⁠Learn and follow IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • ⁠Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers

Qualifications

  • OND/HND or BSc in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
  • ⁠Preferably a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member
  • ⁠Foundational knowledge of PHP, Laravel, HTML, SASS/CSS, databases, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Vue.js, or React) is highly desirable.
  • ⁠Proficiency in MS Office and basic IT tools.
  • ⁠Hands on network engineering experience and basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • ⁠Desktop, laptop and mobile devices installation and problem resolution.
  • ⁠Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess network performance and recommend changes.
  • ⁠Strong interest in IT, a continuous learning mindset, and a willingness to contribute to various IT functions.
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate with users, vendors and other IT personnel.
  • ⁠Ability to prioritize and multitask.
